A lovely time spent spinning and knitting in front of the Scottish Parliament today, proudly displaying our diverse and colourful pussyhats. Debbie sent an email to every single 129 MSP and some of them came to say hello! Photos speak more than words in a case like this so here goes:
This year for the first time we will display our hand-made flowers at Haddington in Bloom: from the 29th July to the 8th August 2016. Don’t miss this unusual display!
This year we are delighted to take part in the 3 Harbours Arts Festival.
Join us at the Chalmers Memorial Church Hall in Port Seton (venue 16), from 4 to 12th June 2016. You will find lots of nice creations to admire and touch and you can even try to spin your own yarn!
We will be there all week and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Our Open Day is only one week away! Find us on Saturday 3rd March from 10am to 4pm on the top floor of the Poldrate Granary.
This year we shall be joined by Scottish Fibres as usual which is a wonderful opportunity to see their huge range of books, fibres and spinning/weaving/crafting equipment first hand. We shall also have the group great wheel available for you to try, an opportunity to use the drum carder to create your own ravishing batts from a range of colourful fibres and a market table for anyone with items for sale.
This is the highlight of our year – don’t miss it! If you can’t come regularly on a Tuesday it is the ideal opportunity to get together. Bring your wheel/spindle/latest project/family and friends/ packed lunch and spend the day with us or pop in to have a cuppa and a chat.
The annual exhibition held by the Poldrate Arts and Craft Centre runs from Saturday 28 May to Sunday 5 June 2011.
Every day from 12noon to 4pm, on the top floor of the Granary in Haddington.
